BOX ONE OVERSIZED 31.8 X 1-1/8" FRONT LOAD STEM

All Box handlebars are designed and manufactured using our Oversized technology. Following the load paths along the handlebars, we focused our attention on the interface between the stem and handlebars. Since Oversized handlebars have increased wall thickness and tube diameter in this area, we responded with an increased stem interface providing greater surface area. We achieved this by moving material from low stress areas. This significantly reduced twist and helped with responsiveness. When the stem is combined with the handlebars, we have helped to increase pedaling rigidity by providing a stop to the "lift" phenomenon. There's no point pushing hard on your pedals if you can't pull back on your handlebars and deliver that power. Power can easily be lost due to handlebar-stem deflection, which can result in poor power transmission and steering control. Combined with Box's other Oversized components, you'll experience increased responsiveness and reduced latency.

Key differences: In this particular stem model, we have modulated the Oversized formula to emphasize pedaling stiffness. We transferred material specifically to areas that suddenly experience stress when pulling on the handlebars. You will feel a difference in your acceleration. These stems are designed for tall riders.
