BOX ONE Oversized M35 crankset

All Box One and Two cranksets are designed and manufactured using our Oversized technology. We all know there's no point pushing hard on the pedals if you can't transmit most of that power to the rear wheel. When creating our cranksets, we were obsessed with power transmission, also known as pedaling stiffness. To reduce lateral deflection at the bottom bracket, we chose to enlarge the hub and crank interfaces. We took material from the unstressed sections to reinforce these high stress areas. Not only will you be more efficient in transmitting power, but you will also feel the instant throttle response. Looked at another way, less energy will be required to achieve the same elapsed time.

Key Differences: The Box One M35 crankset takes oversized axle action to the extreme with a colossal 35mm cross section, thanks to Praxis™. This dimension may seem huge, but we also used cold forged 7075 T6 aluminum. It is an alloy which offers a low mass while flirting with the resistance of steel. We then grind this axis with the precision you would expect from medical equipment. The very prominent crank arms are hollow forged with much of the wall thicknesses pushed towards the high stress areas. A stabilizing ring serves as anti-torsion reinforcement between the branches of the spider. A precision-machined Chromoly/alloy self-extracting bottom bracket bolt system keeps everything secure. Remember, you'll need a modern framework to handle this type of technology.
