Box one oversized carbon 1-1/8 - 1.5inch tapered headset

There's more to Box carbon headsets than their striking aesthetic. From top to bottom, the Box One™ tapered carbon headset was designed to deliver performance.

Each unit features a custom CNC machined aluminum compression cap shaped like the Box logo with cutouts to reduce weight.

In the center of the top cap is an anodized aluminum bolt that screws into a gold anodized aluminum expansion cap. This expander eliminates the need for a star nut and works with all 1-1/8 inch head tubes, even carbon fiber head tubes.

The upper bearing cover is made from carbon fiber, adding style and reducing weight.

At the heart of the headset are two super smooth, titanium nitride coated, sealed bearings measuring 45x45. The titanium coating results in a low coefficient of friction, increased corrosion resistance and smoother bearings.

A split crown bushing makes installing and removing the forks super easy. Box 1.5-inch headsets are for tapered frames and forks and include an adapter crown bushing that allows you to use a fork with a straight 1-1/8-inch head tube.
